Removing Warts, Moles

I tried a remedy found on http://www.herbjournal.info and it worked great. I have a couple of moles on my face that I wanted to remove cheaply and painlessly. One mole is almost completely gone and I have only used the remedy twice so far. Still working on the others but I’m sure I’ll see a big difference in a week.

Essential Oils and Colors

Essential oils are oils that can be added to soap and bath products. These oils come from plants and have many medicinal uses and they smell good. They are great for using in aromatherapy. Colors make the soap and other products look pretty. mix this with vanilla essential oil and you can make a wonderful smell

Be careful with what you add to your soap. Glycerin is very soothing to the skin but here are some other ideas. Shea butter and aloe vera are very good for moisturizing the skin
Lavender is calming and good for soothing dry or irritated skin good insect repellent

I am always looking for good places to find soap supplies. To make melt and pour soap you need some essential oils, soap base like glycerin soap or goatsmilk, etc, color, a microwave and microwave safe glass container to melt the soap in. Here are some good deals.

Nail Care

With Sea Salt and a few essential oils, you can obtain healthier, stronger and more brilliant nails and soften cuticles.

Ingredients:
For steps 1 & 2
Approx. 3 tbsp Dead Sea Salt (fine grain)
2 tbsp Olive Oil
Water
Small bowl
For step 3*
3 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil (anti-bacterial & anti-fungal oil)
3 Drops Rosemary Essential Oil (moisturizes and strengthens)
3 Drops Lavender Essential Oil (anti-bacterial & anti-fungal oil)3 Drops Lemon Essential Oil (whitens and strengthens)
3 Vitamin E Gel Capsules (moisturizes)
1 oz Sweet Almond Oil (moisturizes)
Dark glass bottle
One-
To soften and soothe cuticles, combine 2 tablespoons of fine grain Dead Sea Salt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and just enough water to allow you to soak your fingers into a small bowl. Soak for 10 minutes.
Two-
For a beautiful shine on your nails, add a little bit of water to a tablespoon of Dead Sea Salt and buff your nails by gently massaging the salt directly onto your nails using circular motions. Then rinse hands with warm water.
Three-
For the finishing touch, which will help to strengthen brittle nails and give them a natural shine, take a small dark glass bottle and add in the drops of essential oils. Then break the Vitamin E capsules and squeeze them into bottle. Finally, add the sweet almond oil. Massage 2 or 3 drops of the blend onto your nails and cuticles.
*This blend will provide you with many uses since you only need to use a couple drops at a time.

Strawberry Recipes

Strawberries have many wonderful uses. I love strawberries. They are easy to grow and full of vitamin C. Strawberries are great for oily skin and teeth whitener. Here are some recipes using strawberries.

Strawberry Mask

1/2 c very ripe strawberries, 1/4 c cornstarch Mix strawberries and cornstarch to make a paste and apply to face avoiding delicate area around eyes. Leave on for 30 minutes. Then rinse with cool water.

Strawberries and Cream Astringent

For oily blemished skin. 1 handful strawberries, 1 tbs heavy cream Mash strawberries by hand or in blender. Add heavy cream and mix well. Spread thickly on face and neck. Leave on for 10 minutes. Tissue off and splash with cool water.

Strawberry Toner

1/2 c mashed strawberries, 1/2c plain yogurt Puree ingredients in blender at low speed until set mixed and fluffy. Apply to face and neck. Rinse with water after 30 minutes. If too runny after blending set in fridge for 1 hour. Make the day you plan to use it.

Lemon Recipes

Lemons are full of citric acid and vitamin C. There are many uses for lemons such as making lemonade, marmalades, pies and other good things to eat. It is also used as a natural deodorizer, hair lightener, disinfectant, and many other cleanig and skin remedies. Here are some recipes using lemons.

Lemon Exfoliator

Take one lemon and cut in half and juice it. Save the lemon halves to rub on your elbows, knees and bottoms of your heels. Combine lemon juice with 1/2 to 2/3 c sugar. Take this mix and rub all over your bodywhile standing in the tub or shower. Once you have completely rubbed the paste all over your skin (take care on your face and avoid using it near your eyes), rinse your body.

Lemon Soak

For dry rough feet. 1 bowl of warm water, juice of 1 lemon add lemon juice to warm water in bowl. Soak feet for 15-20 minutes.

Honey Recipes

Honey is not only sweet to the taste but good for soothing the skin. Honey is a natural sweetner and is used for many other reasons. Here are some recipes using honey for smooth skin.

Foaming Honey Foot Bath

1 tbs honey, 1 tbs liquid soap (dish soap), 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbs sweet almond oil Mix all ingredients in bowl and it’s ready. If you want to make a large quantity change the recipe to 1/2 c honey, 1/2 c liquid soap, 1 tbs vanilla, 1 c sweet almond oil.

Milk and Honey Lotion

This is an instant conditioner and refresher. 1/4 c milk, 1/4 c honey Mix milk and honey in small glass pan. Warm until honey melts. Remove from heat. When cool enough to tolerate apply to face and neck. Let stand for 15 minutes. Then rinse off or shower with warm water. Mix can be made in large quantities and will keep for 1 week in fridge.

Hints for Using Soap Molds

There are many types of molds to use for making soap. I have used jello molds, plastic molds, milky way molds, silicone molds,etc. Here are my opinions on these molds.

Jello molds are cheap and have many shapes. Ssome of these molds work okay but many don’t work well. The soap does not pop out easily and the molds get out of shape after a couple of uses.

Plastic molds such as the candy molds are what I first tried because they are cheap and easy to find. You can find a variety of shapes but these molds also don’t last long. I have found spraying a little rubbing alcohol on the molds help the soap to pop out better.

Milky way molds are my second favorite mold type. These cost a little more but are still fairly cheap. They last for a while and don’t get out of shape as easy as other molds. Tthe soap does pop out easier especially if you spritz the mold with alcohol.

My favorite mold type is the silicone molds. They are a little spendy but will last for a long time. You can find a variety of shapes and the soap pops out very easily. You don’t even have to spritz with alcohol. My advice is to spend the extra and use the silicone molds. Your soap will come out looking better.
